This is a cable with a 6 pin serial output connector on one end, and a 9 pin RS232 coms port connector on the other. It enables you to use the "Clone5" Software that can be iether via the RM5 Programmer (handheld) or a Personnal Computer. Quick easy connection. When Programming the RM5 Series Coin Validators / Totalisers, a serial cable is required to connect the "Clone5" program source ie RM5 Programmer or a Personal Computer, to the serial connector located on the side of the RM5 coin mech. The RM5 Series Validators/Totalisers use RS232 protocol for polling and relaying data between the coin mech and the Programmer. This allows for the "Clone5" s/w to be used to set all the parameters as required for the correct use of the coin mech. An added feature known as "Cloning" (copy) allows the exact replication of a Validator / Totaliser settings in a software file, then that file can be used to programme other mechs exactly the same as the mech that was cloned (copied).
