A self assembled cabinet that is designed primarily for use as a MAME cabinet. It is very easy to assemble, and is designed to house a complete PC.
The cabinet is simple to put together, with the components easily fitting together and secured with screws. The following configuration is recommended, however the configuration of the machine is entirely up to you - Mini atx or micro atx pc, 17 or 19 inch LCD monitor, Keywiz keyboard controller, desktop PC speakers and a 4-way power board.
The screen is made of tinted Perspex. When running windows at a high resolution some distortion may occur, however this will not be present when playing ROMs. The cabinet is designed for PC speakers to be placed loosely inside the cabinet, but extra speakers can be mounted on the cabinet easily. There are also four holes in the back of the cabinet that are designed to house additional buttons. Examples of additional buttons include PC power on/off and fan on/off
There is a hole in each side for the power cables. Only one of these is needed for the cables, with a cooling fan able to be mounted in the second. This fan should be set to blow fresh air into the cabinet to help with cooling. |
